A 48-year-old man from Brampton has died following a collision on Highway 410 in Mississauga early Saturday morning.

Ontario Provincial Police said emergency crews responded to the southbound lanes of Highway 410 near Derry Road at approximately 12:05 a.m. after receiving reports of a crash involving two vehicles and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, identified as a 48-year-old Brampton resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators have indicated that there is no evidence of foul play.

The collision prompted the closure of all southbound lanes between Steeles Avenue and Derry Road for several hours while police conducted their investigation. The roadway reopened at approximately 5 a.m.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and are asking witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage from the area at the time of the collision to come forward.
