A 61-year-old man from the Township of Rideau Lakes was injured in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 401 at Communications Road in Chatham-Kent Monday morning.
Emergency services, including Elgin County OPP, Chatham-Kent Police, fire, and EMS, responded to the collision at 8:55 a.m. The driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
He has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with careless driving. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the OPP or Crime Stoppers.
