An 80-year-old man suffered serious injuries in an overnight two-vehicle collision in south Barrie, and police say charges are pending.
The crash occurred just before 1 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Dean Avenue and Country Lane. According to Barrie police, one of the vehicles was driven by a 16-year-old G2-licensed driver who had multiple passengers in the vehicle.
Police said the elderly man was seriously injured in the collision and taken to hospital. Images released by investigators show both vehicles heavily damaged, with one coming to rest near the front entrance of a home and the other stopping at the edge of a nearby property.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police say charges are expected.
