A 58-year-old man is facing charges following the death of a 15-year-old boy from Arkona who was discovered in a well on a North Middlesex dairy farm. The incident occurred on September 20, when the teen was found unresponsive on a property along Parkhill Drive. He was taken to hospital but did not survive.

After a joint investigation by the Ontario Provincial Police, the Ministry of Labour, and the Coroner’s Office, authorities charged the man with criminal negligence causing death.

Update – The man is identified as Cornelis Verheyenm, while the teen is identified as James Aaron Brown.
