A 72-year-old man has been charged following an alleged road rage incident in Prince Edward County that ended in a deliberate crash, according to Ontario Provincial Police.
Officers responded to a collision near the intersection of County Road 3 and Loyalist Parkway shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Friday after receiving reports that one vehicle had been hit from behind.
Police say both vehicles were travelling west on County Road 3 when the situation escalated through a series of aggressive driving actions, including tailgating, brake checking, and unsafe passing maneuvers.
Investigators allege the suspect driver intentionally rammed the rear of the other vehicle before leaving the scene.
The accused now faces several charges, including dangerous operation, assault, mischief under $5,000, and failing to remain at the scene of a collision.
