A 28-year-old man was critically hurt after being struck by a vehicle in Rexdale late Sunday afternoon, according to emergency officials. Toronto police say the collision occurred near the intersection of Rexdale Boulevard and Highway 27, with officers responding just before 6 p.m.
The driver, an 82-year-old man, remained at the scene. The victim, identified only as a man, was rushed to hospital with severe, life-threatening injuries. Highway 27 has been closed in both directions at Rexdale as the investigation continues.
