A man in his 40s remains in critical condition following a serious single-vehicle crash overnight in Brampton.
Peel Regional Police said emergency crews responded shortly after 1:30 a.m. Wednesday to the area of Clark Boulevard and West Drive near Dixie Road, where they discovered a heavily damaged vehicle.
Police say the driver was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by emergency responders before being transported to a trauma centre in critical condition.
Investigators confirmed no other vehicles were involved in the collision, and the cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
Collision reconstruction officers continue to investigate, prompting the closure of Clark Boulevard between Highway 410 and West Drive. Motorists are being advised to avoid the area and expect traffic delays.
