A 61-year-old man has died and a 50-year-old man is in hospital with serious injuries after a two-vehicle collision in Markham late Monday afternoon.
York Regional Police say the crash, involving a Volkswagen and a Honda, occurred around 5:40 p.m. near Reesor Road and 16th Avenue.
The Major Collision Investigation Team is handling the case. Reesor Road remains closed between 16th Avenue and Highway 7 as officers continue their work, and police are asking the public to avoid the area.
