A man in his 20s was killed and three others suffered injuries after a two-vehicle collision in Brampton early Sunday morning.

Emergency crews responded to The Gore Road and Castle Oaks Crossing shortly after 1 a.m. Police say a Nissan Pathfinder and a minivan were travelling southbound when the vehicles collided. The impact caused the Pathfinder to leave the roadway and roll over.

The Pathfinder’s driver was ejected from the SUV and died at the scene.

Three occupants of the minivan were taken to a local trauma centre with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. The intersection remained closed for several hours while investigators examined the scene. Police confirmed the roads had reopened by about 10 a.m.
