An elderly man has died after his vehicle crashed into a home in Ottawa’s Orléans neighbourhood Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency crews responded to Duvernay Drive at about 12:50 p.m. after reports of a vehicle striking a residence.
Paramedics found the driver in cardiac arrest following the crash and transported him to hospital. Police later confirmed he was pronounced dead. No other injuries were reported.
Des Épinettes Avenue remains closed between Duval Lane and Tenth Line Road. The Ottawa Police Service’s fatal collision investigations unit is examining the circumstances surrounding the crash.
