A man in his 60s died after being hit by a vehicle late Friday night in Mississauga, according to Peel police. The incident occurred around 11:50 p.m. near Mississauga Road and Meadowvale Boulevard.
Police say a white Nissan SUV traveling south on Mississauga Road from Highway 407 struck the man as he crossed the road mid-block. The driver remained at the scene and attempted to assist, but the pedestrian was pronounced dead.
Peel Police’s Major Collision Bureau is now handling the investigation. The scene has been cleared, and no charges have been announced at this time.
