A man is in critical condition after being struck by a transport truck in Brampton on Wednesday evening.
The collision occurred around 6:20 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 50 and Mayfield Road. Peel police report that the man was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The truck driver stayed at the scene, though the cause of the crash remains unclear.
Police have shut down Highway 50 between Countryside Drive and Mayfield Road for the investigation.
