A man was rescued after falling off a bluff while operating a riding mower in Scarborough on Wednesday night. Toronto Fire Services responded to a call on Kildonan Drive, near Kingston Road, just before 9 p.m.

Fire crews used a low-angle rope rescue technique to reach the man. Once freed, paramedics assessed him and confirmed he had sustained serious, though non-life-threatening, injuries. He was then taken to a nearby hospital for further care. Details about the cause of the fall are still unclear.
