A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash in Mississauga on Thursday evening.
The collision happened just before 7 p.m. near Eglinton Avenue and Sorrento Drive. Preliminary information indicates a vehicle was making a left turn into the motorcycle’s path, prompting the rider to take evasive action and lose control.
Peel paramedics transported the rider, a man in his 30s, to a trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police closed nearby roads while emergency crews responded. Investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances of the crash, and no decision has been made regarding possible charges.
