A man is in hospital with serious injuries after a house fire broke out early Wednesday morning in Ajax. Emergency crews were called to a home on Angier Crescent around 6:10 a.m. on December 11, where heavy smoke was coming from the residence. Firefighters were already at the scene and were able to put out the fire.
One adult male was taken to a local hospital and remains in serious condition. The Ontario Fire Marshal has been brought in to determine what caused the fire. Officials say the house has been declared unsafe, which has limited the ability to fully search the property. Police are asking anyone with information related to the incident to contact them.
