A man has died after being struck by a vehicle in downtown Brantford, according to police.
The collision occurred around midnight near the intersection of Market and Darling streets. The pedestrian was taken to hospital but later died from his injuries.
Police say the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. The area is close to several landmarks, including the city’s bus terminal, Victoria Park, and the Wilfrid Laurier University Brantford campus.
Authorities are asking anyone with information or video footage related to the incident to come forward.
