A man was killed in Niagara Falls Thursday morning after being struck by a vehicle.

The collision occurred around 8:20 a.m. near Thorold Stone Road and Carroll Avenue. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police have not released the identities of those involved and no charges have been laid. Niagara Regional Police’s collision reconstruction unit is investigating, and anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.

Update – Police have arrested a 68-year-old woman on December 9. She is now facing a careless-driving-causing-death charge under the Highway Traffic Act, according to Niagara police. She has since been released and is scheduled to appear in provincial offences court at a later date.
