A late-night fire at a downtown Toronto men’s shelter sent one man to hospital with serious burn injuries over the weekend.
Emergency crews were called to Seaton House on George Street, near Jarvis and Gerrard streets, just after 11 p.m. Saturday after reports of a blaze. Firefighters arrived to find flames on the building’s second floor in a dormitory area.
Paramedics said a man in his 40s was transported to a specialized burn centre with serious injuries. The fire is now under investigation.
