More than a year after a fatal pedestrian collision in Mississauga, Peel police have arrested the alleged driver.
The incident occurred on Jan. 14, 2025, at the intersection of Bristol Road West and Loonlake Avenue, when a woman in her 20s was struck by a black SUV while using the crosswalk. She was taken to hospital but later died from her injuries. Police said the driver fled the scene. Video footage from the time showed the pedestrian stopping and backing up as the vehicle approached, and she was crossing on a green light.
