A 20-year-old man from Mississauga has been charged with impaired driving following a single-vehicle crash on Highway 403 late Saturday night in southwestern Ontario.

Ontario Provincial Police say they were called to the scene shortly before 9:30 p.m. after a vehicle crashed in the westbound lanes of the highway, east of Muir Road and southwest of Brantford. Officers investigated the collision and charged the driver at the scene.

The man is facing two charges: operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs, and operating with a blood alcohol concentration above the legal limit.

He is scheduled to appear in Brantford court on Feb. 27.
