Ottawa authorities are urging drivers to exercise caution after multiple collisions were reported Friday morning amid light snow and sub-zero temperatures.
Ottawa OPP responded to over a dozen crashes, including a four-vehicle and a six-vehicle pileup, while Ottawa Police reported six collisions between 7:20 a.m. and 9 a.m. Paramedics confirmed there have been no serious injuries so far.
Officials warn that black ice can form quickly, especially overnight and during morning commutes, and are advising drivers to slow down, leave extra space, and avoid sudden braking or sharp turns.
