A mother and her child were hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after their bicycle was hit by a car in Richmond Hill Thursday evening.
The crash occurred around 7:50 p.m. at Elgin Mills Road East and Redstone Road. Emergency crews responded to the scene, but the circumstances of the collision remain unclear, and no information on potential charges has been released. The driver involved stayed at the scene.
Police have closed the westbound lanes at the intersection for investigation, but the roadway has since reopened.
