A 21-year-old man from Brampton has died following a collision involving a motorcycle and a car in Gravenhurst on Friday afternoon.
Ontario Provincial Police in Bracebridge responded to the crash at the intersection of Gravenhurst Parkway and Reay Road around 3:40 p.m. Despite rapid arrival by emergency crews, life-saving efforts were unsuccessful.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, while the occupants of the car sustained only minor injuries.
The OPP’s Central Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team has been brought in to assist with the ongoing investigation.
Gravenhurst Parkway remains closed in the area for several hours as police continue to examine the circumstances of the collision.
