A fatal motorcycle crash in Tillsonburg is under investigation after a rider died following a collision with an SUV on Monday evening.
Emergency crews responded shortly after 5 p.m. to Simcoe Street, between West Town Line and Goshen Street, where police say a motorcycle struck the rear of an SUV. The impact threw the 38-year-old rider from Oxford County from the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries but later died. The SUV driver was not injured.
Simcoe Street remained closed for several hours while the investigation was underway. Ontario Provincial Police are continuing to investigate the collision and are asking anyone with dashcam or surveillance footage from the area at the time of the crash to contact investigators.
