A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a single-vehicle crash in Bayfield early Tuesday morning.
Police say the collision occurred around 1:30 a.m. when the rider lost control of the motorcycle and struck objects off the roadway.
Traffic restrictions were put in place as investigators examined the scene, with large trucks diverted at Mill Road and Highway 21, as well as Bayfield Road and Highway 21. Local traffic was rerouted through the village during the closure.
Roads in the area reopened at approximately 9:30 a.m.
