A motorcyclist suffered critical, life-threatening injuries in a collision on Highway 401 in Mississauga on Thursday morning. The crash occurred around 6 a.m. in the two right lanes approaching Highway 427, temporarily blocking the eastbound collector lanes.
According to Sgt. Kerry Schmidt, the motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries. Damage to the motorcycle suggests it may have been involved in a collision with a larger vehicle, although the investigation is still ongoing.
Police are asking for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward. The affected lanes were reopened around 2:30 p.m.
