A motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries after crashing into a Mercedes sedan Friday morning near London.

The collision occurred around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Dundas Street and Shaw Road. According to police, the Mercedes was turning left from Shaw Road onto Dundas when it was struck on the driver’s side by an eastbound motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was transported to hospital in critical condition. The driver of the Mercedes was not injured.

Although traffic signals were functioning at the intersection, investigators have not yet determined which vehicle had the right of way. The area was closed to traffic in all directions during the investigation.
