A motorcyclist has died following a collision with a Brampton Transit bus in Brampton Wednesday morning.
Peel Regional Police responded to the area of Bovaird Drive East and Great Lakes Drive near Dixie Road at about 9:26 a.m. after receiving reports of a serious crash involving the two vehicles.
The motorcyclist, believed to be a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The bus operator, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital as a precaution and was later confirmed to have no injuries.
Investigators believe the bus was travelling northbound and making a turn when it collided with the motorcycle, which was heading westbound. Police say speed could have played a role, although that has not been confirmed.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage is being asked to contact police.
