A motorcyclist was killed following a collision with an vehicle in Scarborough on Monday evening.
Toronto police responded to the crash near Neilson and Tapscott roads at about 5:40 p.m. Investigators said the motorcyclist was travelling south on Neilson Road when it collided with an SUV turning left into a driveway. The rider was transported to hospital but later died from his injuries.
The victim, a 47-year-old man, has not yet been formally identified. The driver, an 87-year-old man, remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
Roads in the area were closed while the Traffic Services unit investigated. Police have not announced any charges as the investigation continues.
