A 51-year-old motorcyclist has died following a collision with a passenger vehicle on Highway 17 in the United Townships of Head, Clara and Maria.
The Upper Ottawa Valley detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to reports of the crash shortly after 11:30 a.m. on June 28. The motorcyclist was taken to hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
Highway 17 was closed for several hours between Yates Road and McSourley Lake Road while investigators examined the scene. The roadway has since reopened, and the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
