Toronto police report a motorcyclist in his 50s has died after being struck by a truck in Etobicoke. The incident occurred Thursday at 3:15 p.m. near North Queen Street and Atomic Avenue, located east of Highway 427 and north of the Gardiner Expressway.
Initially, the motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, but police later confirmed his death in an update on social media. The truck driver stayed at the scene following the crash.
As a result of the collision, all lanes of North Queen Street between The East Mall and Shorncliffe Road are closed, causing traffic delays in the area.
