Traffic on the westbound Gardiner Expressway is flowing again after a crash involving multiple vehicles forced a lengthy closure early Saturday. Police say the collision occurred shortly after 4 a.m. near Jameson Avenue.

Paramedics transported one person to hospital with serious injuries. The westbound lanes were shut down for several hours as crews worked at the scene and investigated, and motorists were advised to find alternate routes.

Police later announced that the expressway reopened to all traffic just before 11 a.m.
