A fire on Ottawa Street Thursday morning displaced eight people from five residential units and caused an estimated $75,000 in damage, according to fire officials. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Windsor Fire and Rescue Services said investigators have not ruled out arson as a possible cause. Emergency responders also dealt with a natural gas line break at the scene. As a result, Ottawa Street was closed for several hours between Langlois and Hall Avenues, but it has since reopened.
