Two downtown Kingston businesses sustained major damage in a fire late Sunday night. The City of Kingston says The Shuroop and A One Clothing on King Street East were impacted by flames, smoke, and water.
Kingston Fire and Rescue reported that no injuries occurred. Downtown Kingston’s business association thanked firefighters for their quick response and noted that all other downtown businesses remain open during the busy holiday shopping period, encouraging the public to continue supporting local retailers.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined and remains under investigation.
