Toronto Fire Services responded to a high-rise fire in East York on Friday afternoon, successfully containing the blaze to a single unit.
Crews were called to 47 Thorncliffe Park Drive, near Overlea Boulevard, at approximately 4:27 p.m. after smoke was reported coming from a unit on the 20th floor. Firefighters extinguished the flames and confirmed the unit was unoccupied at the time.
No injuries were reported. Crews remained on scene to ventilate the building and ensure there were no further flare-ups.
