Emergency crews responded to a field fire in Vaughan on Thursday afternoon, prompting traffic disruptions in the area.
According to York Regional Police, the fire broke out shortly after noon in an industrial area near Bowes Road, just south of Rivermede Road.
Firefighters from Vaughan Fire and Rescue Service managed to contain flames that had spread to several vehicles and a garbage dumpster. A nearby rail line was also affected, with GO Transit trains temporarily slowed and briefly halted to allow crews to safely battle the fire.
The blaze was extinguished by mid-afternoon, and no injuries were reported. Authorities remain on scene, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
