Snow-clearing efforts after a major winter storm were briefly disrupted Friday when a city-contracted snowplow caught fire in Toronto. Emergency crews were called to the area of Bloor Street West and Charleston Road in Etobicoke shortly after 4:30 p.m. after reports of a burning snow removal vehicle.

The fire was quickly extinguished, and no one was injured. Police said the incident is not considered suspicious, though the exact cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

City officials confirmed they are reviewing the incident with Toronto Fire Services and noted that another snowplow was sent to the area to continue clearing the roads.
