A section of Highway 11 was shut down for more than two hours early Sunday following a collision involving a tow truck and a transport truck south of Gravenhurst. Ontario Provincial Police say the crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. near North Kahshe Lake Road in the northbound lanes, with the transport truck striking the tow truck.

No one was injured. The highway was closed between the Kahshe Lake Road area and Luigi Road to allow crews to clean up a fluid spill and clear the vehicles. One lane reopened shortly before 7:40 a.m., and the highway was fully reopened by about 8:37 a.m. Police continue to investigate the incident.

Update – A 27-year-old transport truck driver from Windsor has been charged with careless driving and failing to move over for an emergency or tow vehicle.
