A transport truck crash caused major delays on Highway 401 in Milton during the Thursday morning commute.
The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. when the truck struck a guardrail, prompting the closure of two eastbound lanes. The affected lanes remained shut for several hours, reopening fully around 8:30 a.m.
The disruption led to heavy congestion along much of the eastbound highway, significantly impacting rush-hour traffic. Authorities had advised drivers to use caution and prepare for delays.
No injuries were reported in connection with the collision.
