A transport truck rollover early Thursday morning forced the closure of eastbound lanes on Highway 9 in Palgrave.
The crash occurred around 5:45 a.m. between Humber Station Road and The Gore Road. Police say the truck, which was carrying non-hazardous materials, overturned and caused a minor diesel spill on the roadway.
The cleanup is expected to take several hours due to the truck’s size and the need to transfer its cargo to another vehicle. While westbound traffic remains open, eastbound lanes are still closed as crews continue their work.
No injuries were reported.
