A truck fire and gravel spill caused major delays on southbound Highway 400 near King Road close to Aurora Monday.
Ontario Provincial Police reported that a gravel truck caught fire while stopped on the shoulder, sending flames and thick black smoke into the air. Firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control, replacing the dark smoke with white.
No injuries were reported, but the gravel spill around the vehicle required extensive cleanup. Police warned drivers to expect lane closures and delays for several hours.
