A waste recycling truck crashed into a home in west-end Barrie Wednesday afternoon, sending emergency crews to the scene.
The incident occurred around 1 p.m. on Benson Drive. Barrie Fire Services confirmed no injuries, and city officials, including the building department as well as hydro and gas teams, were called to assess damage and safety risks.
Homeowner Kirstie Nevitt said the truck struck her garage and a parked Mustang after the driver stepped out to collect garbage, leaving the truck to roll into the house.
Barrie Police are investigating how the crash occurred.
