Fire crews in Tecumseh were called to battle a two-alarm blaze late Saturday night.
Emergency responders arrived at the intersection of Lesperance Road and Lessard Street at about 10:30 p.m. after a pickup truck caught fire in a residential driveway. According to Fire Chief Wade Bondy, the flames quickly spread from the vehicle to a detached garage on the property.
Despite efforts to contain the fire, both the truck and the garage were destroyed. Damage is estimated to be between $80,000 and $100,000.
Officials say the fire is not considered suspicious. No injuries were reported, and the exact cause has not yet been determined.
