A Timmins driver has been charged with failing to yield after a two-vehicle collision Wednesday afternoon.
Police said the crash occurred when a sedan travelling south on Birch Street South proceeded from a stop sign at Dale Avenue and entered the path of a pickup truck travelling west.
The sedan struck the pickup near its rear wheel, causing the car to slide sideways for roughly 30 metres. It then encountered an uneven section of roadway and rolled onto its driver’s side.
No injuries were reported, and police said there was no damage to nearby property. The sedan’s driver was charged with failing to yield to traffic.
