A house fire in Sault Ste. Marie caused major damage but no injuries earlier this week.

Fire crews were called to a home on Aubin Road just before 10:30 p.m. on April 20, where they encountered heavy smoke and visible flames. The blaze was brought under control, but firefighters remained at the scene for nearly 22 hours due to parts of the structure collapsing.

Officials say the extent of the damage has made it impossible to determine the cause of the fire.
