A house fire in a newly developed Cambridge neighbourhood caused an estimated $800,000 in damage on Saturday afternoon.
Emergency crews were dispatched to Pointer Street near Maple Grove and Speedsville roads around 1 p.m., where they found the home completely engulfed in flames. No occupants were inside at the time, and no injuries were reported.
Authorities, including local police and fire officials, worked with the provincial fire marshal’s office to investigate. The fire has been deemed accidental, with no signs of suspicious activity. The extent of the damage means the home’s occupancy status remains uncertain.
