Two Caledon residents are facing several criminal charges after a house fire was deemed suspicious by investigators.
Emergency crews responded to a blaze around 2 p.m. on February 6 near Mount Wolfe Road and Old Church Road in Caledon. Ontario Provincial Police reported that no one was injured and that Caledon Fire and Emergency Services brought the fire under control.
Following an investigation, officers executed a search warrant at a Caledon property and arrested two suspects. Mandeep Sutharson, 42, and Sutharson Krishnamoorthy, 47, have each been charged with arson, public mischief, fraud exceeding $5,000, and obstructing a peace officer.
Both accused are scheduled to appear in court in Orangeville on May 7, 2026.
