High Falls Road in Bracebridge was closed Thursday afternoon after a pickup truck was reportedly struck by an Ontario Northlander train at a railway crossing.
The collision occurred around 1:45 p.m. near the level crossing, with the closure affecting High Falls Road from Manitoba Street to just east of the tracks. Officials said the train was not blocking the roadway, but the road would remain closed while crews removed the vehicle.
Ontario Northland said the train was carrying only staff during an onboarding and training session at the time of the incident. The pickup truck driver sustained minor injuries, while no other injuries were reported.
The road was closed between Manitoba Street and an area just east of the railway tracks until approximately 8:45 p.m.
