Braai House in Stratford has closed indefinitely after a kitchen fire interrupted dinner service on Friday evening.

The fire was reported around 6:45 p.m., prompting Stratford Fire to dispatch 14 firefighters. Approximately 90 patrons and staff were inside the restaurant at the time, but no injuries were reported.

The restaurant said repairs are already in progress and efforts are focused on reopening as soon as it is safe to do so. Its sister restaurant, Keystone Alley, located beneath Braai House, is also temporarily closed and is expected to resume operations on Tuesday.

The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage have not yet been determined.
