A garbage truck fire is causing major traffic delays on the Niagara-bound Queen Elizabeth Way in Oakville.
The blaze broke out around 1 p.m. in the westbound lanes near Trafalgar Road after a disabled transport carrying garbage caught fire. No injuries have been reported.
Emergency crews, including Oakville Fire’s Hazmat unit, responded to the scene as cleanup continues. North Service Road is also closed, and motorists are advised to expect significant delays.
